To the UC Players: It was more than just Business

Kelly betrayed his fans, asking us over and over to buy into this program, fill the stadium etc etc...the way he conducted himself tonight not even talking to the local media who he has used to benefit from for three years was sad. We are the ones hoping and waiting for a different decision, he knows this is the biggest story and he wouldnt even comment. I know this is early and I am upset. He did lead us to believe he was staying here, but we dont really matter(even though we pay part of his salary) its his players that matter, those are the ones he owes something to, not us. It seems very unfair to the guys that bled for him the last three years, and now here is exactly how they feel about him and I choose to side with the team over Kelly. Why? They need our support just like the one that led them to the biggest bowl game in UC history and now has because of his actions wont even be there! Sad, and as the UC players say disappointing:

From ESPN:

The news didn't play well with Kelly's current team. Bearcat players were led into a meeting room, where Kelly told them he was leaving and thanked them for making his opportunity possible. One minute into the meeting, the door opened and receiver Mardy Gilyard walked out angry and alone, save his MVP trophy.

"He went for the money," Gilyard told The Associated Press. "I'm fairly disgusted with the situation, that they let it last this long."

Players weren't told of Kelly's decision until the banquet ended, nearly three hours after the news first broke. A few blinked back tears as they left.

"We already knew what he was going to say. We weren't giving him a round of applause or anything," tight end Ben Guidugli said. "It's like somebody turned their back on us. We brought this whole thing this far. We've come this far. To have someone walk out now is disappointing."

He has gone from someone that these players would go to war with to someone they wouldnt even shake hands with right now. Thats where this becomes much more than the business that I previously, and wrongly claimed this to be about.

Glass half full prediction:

6-10. Thats right: How you ask? Based on the way weve played against The Giants/Cowboys, that thing in the middle by Fitzpatfiz (Any human with a name like that shouldnt even be in the NFL) doesnt count, we win the next three games: At Jets/Home against the Steel-Girls, and at Texans. Thats 3-5, but dont rush out and get those playoff ticks just yet, because we loose the next three: JAGS/BEAGLES/and of course Big Ben continues his Ohio run with a win in Cincy, that 3-8. Next we payback Facko and the dirty birds, sack his slow butT 7 times and get our only blowout of the year, that leaves us at 4-8.  We loose in the Oil can In Indy(wont it be nice, when we finally win there someday? try 2012 when that first round draft pick we get in 2010 has a big game and peyton is retired ) and we loose in a competitive game at home to the Ol Hogs of D.C. Thats 4-10, but have now worries Whodeys sweet revenge on Cleveland again knowcking them out of Postseason and winning at KC, in the Toilet Bowl, that will find more Bearcat fans watching UC in the Canadian Bacon Bowl vs the Tulane Greenies. Thats 6-10.

This all of course depends on one thing: PALMER STARTS ALL THE REMAINING GAMES! And thats Palmer Sr not JR, and by the way how bad is Palmer JR?... he cant be worse than Fitzpatjoke, right?

Glass half empty:

Palmer gets knocked out, We only win 4 games At Houston/Tide turns We knock out Big Ben, Rivers intercepts him twice, Steel Girls go down in Cincy/Dirty Birds In Cincy/and KC. Thats 4-12, whoa, what about Brownies? Ok 5-11.

If all this goes to poop, and we dont win any or ok against Cleveland how much longer does Coach Lewis have. Dont get me wrong I dont want him to go, but someone has to, and This team Is Mike Browns dady Pauls legacy and he will never let it go. Isnt his daughter supposed to be running this thing, (sorry girls) damn women drivers, put down the damn cell phones and go! ;)
